The eight-person Turkish Violin Team, including the young artists of ÇEV (Modern Education Foundation) Art Young Talents Project, participated in the 2nd International Ilona Feher Violin Competition held on 23-28 July 2018 at the famous Liszt Academy of Hungary's capital city, Budapest, winning four awards successfully.


The violinists, Duru Önhon, Idil Olgar and Naz İrem Türkmen, who continued their education under the ÇEV Sanat Young Talents project supported by QNB Finansbank, shared the award of excellence with their successful performances in the category of young violinists. In addition, Elfida Su Turan won third prize in the second age group.


Besides the contestants from Hungary and Turkey, those from England, Ukraine, Finland, Germany, United States, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Montenegro, South Korea, Canada and Australia also participated.


The international representative of the Turkish Violinist Association, Cihat Aşkın, made a statement about the success of the Turkish Violin Team that came together for the first time in the 2nd International Ilona Feher Violin Competition. He declares that the performance of the young group  stands for the most important success of the Turkish Violin School in the international arena, underlining that if they have opportunities in the future, young artists will come with similar awards also in the competitions in other countries.
