PERA MUSEUM’S MUSİC PROJECT
Pera Museum’s music project “New Voices”, which supports the productions inspired by the Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation’s “Orientalist Painting”, ”Anatolian Weights and Measures” and “Kütahya Tiles and Ceramics” collections, continued with the performance of Burak Özdemir & Musica Sequenza named as “Sohbet I Korero”. The work combines 18th-century instruments with vivid electronic sounds, providing an impressive experience enriched with 3D sound design and surround sound effects. The performance, which provides visitors with a music experience in the dark, aims to convey the sound elements in the pictures through music, encouraging the audiences to focus only on the sound.
During the performance, Özdemir, who created his music with electronic instruments and baroque bassoon, was accompanied by the musician Chang Yun Yoo with baroque viola. The performance took place on Friday, November 30 at the exhibition floor of the Orientalist Painting Collection at the Pera Museum.
